Microsoft ended mainstream support for Windows 7 on January 13, 2015, With the extended support ending January 14, 2020.
Microsoft ended mainstream support for Windows 8.1 on January 9, 2018, extended support won’t end until January 10, 2023.
After extended support for these Windows versions ends in, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or support for PCs running Windows 7 or Windows 8.
You can still use Windows 7 until 2020, and Windows 8 until 2023 but we suggest you start thinking about upgrading to Windows 10:
