Nuance announced recently and rather suddenly that it was cutting support for the Mac version of Dragon Professional for Mac.
Dragon Professional Individual for Mac is being discontinued effective 10/22/2018 and will no longer be available for purchase.
Existing customers statutory rights are not affected. Customers who have purchased Dragon Professional Individual for Mac version 6 (“Software”) benefit from a perpetual license to the Software and may continue using the Software. Nuance will no longer provide updates for the Software after 10/22/2018.
While the software will continue to function, there will be no future updates or support, meaning existing users who have come to depend on Dragon on Mac will have a decision to make.
For existing users on older MacOS versions:
If you have Sierra released in 2016, or High Sierra released in 2017 you should be able to continue to use your Dragon with no change.
To enhance your performance on these macOS please ensure you are on the latest services pack: http://nuance.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26574/~/information-on-dragon-professional-individual-for-mac-6.0.8

For those who recently moved to the latest macOS update
Called – Mojave this new updated MacOS was released on September 24, 2018.
Dragon Professional Individual for Mac 6 has not been tested on the Mojave macOS. It is not recommended that customers upgrade to Mojave at this time as it could stop your Dragon from working in the mac environment.
So, in short – if you wish to keep using Dragon for Mac stay on the older MacOS versions.
