Nuance is constantly reviewing their product portfolio and have advised us that as of 30th September 2020, the NZ Legal Edition (along with the Australian Legal Edition) will be discontinued.
Current customers will still be able to use their software without disruption, but there will be no further updates to these products. The general English vocabulary options which include Australian and New Zealand selections without the legal vocabulary will continue to be supported and available.
Customers will still receive support via the usual channels for up to 210 days from date of activating the Software. Your statutory rights are not affected. Customers who have purchased the Software benefit from a perpetual license of the Software and may continue using the Software.
For users with a valid Support agreement, you will continue receiving technical support via Voice Power as per normal. For customers that have current maintenance options, Nuance will be providing alternative renewal options and we will advise you in due course.
Having worked on the creation of the NZ Legal vocabularies with Nuance-Dragon over the last 16 years, Voice Power NZ Ltd are well placed to transition Dragon Legal customers to what-ever Dragon variant replacement / upgrade comes with a customised NZ Legal dictionary.
