Recording Capability

The DS-2600’s redesigned, speech optimised microphone is independently housed for flawless sound reproduction. The stereo recording capability offers users to not only use for Dictation but also support for recording conferences or meetings.

 

Excellent Visibility with Large Colour Display

The DS-2600 features a 2.4 inch TFT colour LCD. This is around double the size of the previous model, and supports 240,000 colour, making the information on-screen much easier to read.

 

Intuitive Controls

Since the slide switch is the most used part of the device, it is essential to offer a durable and reliable switch in order to support our customers in a professional environment. The optical switch simplifies the structure of the component to reduce the potential risk of defect, yet offering excellent usability at the same time.

Can I use the DS-2600 to have my dictations transcribed automatically or do I need a typist?

With the DS-2600, both are possible. The device can be used with various third party speech recognition software like Dragon NaturallySpeakingTM, but needs to be purchased additionally.
Besides Olympus provides various accessories to get your audio recording transcribed manually (e.g. AS-2400 Transcription Kit).

Can I change my recording afterwards?

With the included DSS Player standard there are a variety of editing options that offer the possibility to insert, overwrite, erase or cut files. Unwanted content can easily be amended or removed.
